You’re one to stand out — never the same as everyone else. Fashion comes and goes and you stand to create your own style. Some call you creative, while others try and copy your style. But you don’t care. You like what you like and if you have followers of your art, it’s only a compliment. So when it comes to an engagement ring, it only is fitting you decide on a bohemian engagement ring.

Below are some boho engagement rings that we have done. And if you want to design your own boho engagement ring, Four Words will be the perfect place to get it made. We offer a full custom design process across a wide variety of gemstones. We also can do custom cut diamonds and gemstones to get you exactly what you want.

Love the idea of a Tiffany ring but feels too mainstream? Go classic but unique with this trending killer 1 carat round solitaire white diamond with 8 prongs and a twisted knife platinum band. The edge of the band is also encrusted with diamonds. Nothing speaks ice cold better than this boho diamond engagement ring.

We would highly recommend getting a custom wedding band that will sit flush against this unique engagement ring to keep its ‘wow’ factor — also in a twisted knife band in either platinum or white gold.

How To Design Your Own Boho Engagement Ring

  1. The first thing that you should do when designing your own boho engagement ring is to find a jeweller that you respect and has good taste. While you may be responsible for providing the brief, they will be responsible for bringing it to life. At Four Words, our designers have at least 10 years of experience and have designed more than 1,000 designs in just the last two years alone.

  2. Pin all the rings that you like and try and articulate why you like each ring to your designer. They should help you narrow down the brief to start doing some sketches.

  3. Provide as much feedback as you can during the sketch phase. The more feedback that you can give, the better the next sketch will be. Designers love to get feedback all at once instead of having to change one thing at a time.

  4. Get a sense of scale. Some shapes look bigger than others, even if they are the same carat weight. And the difference between a 1.5 carat and 1.8 carat is not as much as you think.

  5. Ask for a 3D print if you are not sure about composition. While its nothing like the real thing, it does give you a sense of scale.

  6. After going through the final iterations, you should be ready to get your ring made. It is best to work with a jewellery store that has both their designers and jewellers working together. A risk of working with a freelance jeweller is that their designs may be incompatible with the jewellers. To know the intricacies of designing a ring, check out this piece here.
